Students entering school or walking through campus might have seen Mr. Duran, Mr. Velasco, Mr. Benitez and Mr. Marquez rocking bow ties every Thursday, its Bow Tie Thursdays. Some may wonder how this came about. Pre-pandemic, Mr. Velasco wore bow ties, because he loved wearing them. One  Thursday, Mr. Marquez shared how at his old school, the men on campus would wear bow ties every Thursday. Once they began this tradition, more staff began to wear bow ties Thursday including Mr. Duran and more recently, Mr. Benitez. “It’s something different and fun to share with the students,” Mr. Velasco said. “It’s the most amazing day of the week!” expressed Mr. Marquez.
