The prom is almost here and seniors are getting their clothes ready for the theme. The theme is Gold Vintage Hollywood. This theme is very common but very fun. The theme comes from the golden age of Hollywood back in the year of 1927 to 1960. The style of those years was mostly white pants with a white dress shirt and dress shoes with a comb over with an accessory, a watch. Some other styles consisted of high heels and a silk or a puffy dress. This theme is overall very fun and common amongst a lot of different schools.
“I think that prom theme is cool and that prom is a very cool once-in-a-lifetime experience that you can experience with friends,” Leland Iniguez, a senior and football player, said. There’s a huge amount of places where the prom could have taken place. “Honestly I think it should have been next to the beach. Somewhere, where it is a more open environment so you can experience it better. Look at the ocean and have a small get-together with friends,” Iniguez said. Since the theme is Gold Vintage Hollywood all students will be seen wearing dress shoes suits or gold-colored clothes, but all people have different ideas of what to wear and Iniquez says, “I’m probably going to wear nice fitted black pants, and maybe a flannel or a black button up shirt.”
Seniors are very excited about prom, some of them are already planning out the clothes they are going to wear. “My opinion on the prom theme is that I think that it was way better than the theme they had last year,” Gregory Toscano a football player and senior said. Prom is a very important experience so of course you would want it to be at a place to remember, “I feel like it should have been at a beach because the scenery would be good,” Toscano said. “I think I would go with a blue-ish or purple-ish tuxedo,” Toscano said.
