What happens when a killer clown dons a Santa suit and haunts a family over the holidays? In Terrifier 3, the terrifying and twisted Art the Clown returns for his most shocking killing spree yet. Since the first Terrifier, David Howard Thorton has portrayed the main antagonist, Art the Clown. He, as usual, delivers an amazing performance in the third movie.
Terrifier is mostly known for its most gruesome, violent, and nasty kills. Along with the famous killer clown dressed in a black and white suit, white face paint, moldy teeth, and a tiny top hat. In this movie, Art continues his spree of murder and haunting the Shaw family. If you enjoy watching over-the-top, exaggerated gore movies along with a sprinkle of humorous scenes then Terrifier 3 should be your next watch.
The movie takes place five years after Terrifier 2. Sienna Shaw, played by Lauren LaVera, and her brother Jonathan Shaw, played by Elliot Fullman, try to spend their holiday together, but are still haunted by the events of five years ago. Jonathan is now in college, living with a roommate and an annoying girlfriend who pries into the past due to her having a podcast that discusses true crime. Later, Sienna moves in with her aunt and uncle and tries to invite Jonathan over to reunite, as they have grown distant since Jonathan moved to college.
In Terrifier 3, Art the clown goes around town in a Santa costume, which got much attention before and during the movie. Art obtains this Santa costume when he walks into a local bar and spots a man dressed as Santa. Art gets overjoyed at the sight of Santa Claus and jumps up and down in excitement. This scene had the crown bursting with laughter as Art jumped in excitement pointing at the hanging wooden sculpture of Santa. The creator of the movie series, Damien Leon, takes the movie to the next level by making Art murder adults and children. The crowd’s jaws drop in shock as Art severs their limbs. As you can see in Terrifier 2, Art the Clown had a little helper named “The Little Pale Girl,” played by Amelie McLain. However, she is replaced by another antagonist named “Victoria Heyes,” played by Samantha Scaffidi. This addition was perfect considering in the first movie she was the first victim that survived as a vessel for Art the Clown to stay in the real world.
The movie had unforgettable scenes that left the audience in disgust almost as if they felt the pain themselves. This scene was so over the top with the amount of gore and the victims still left breathing while their entire bodies were destroyed and dismembered. Overall, this movie was both hilarious and disgusting. It sure is an interesting watch.
