Kate De La Torre is the Broadcast Editor for the Wolfpack Times. A junior attending MACES, De La Torre keeps her grades as ship-shape as possible all school year-round.  Although she spends a good amount of time focused on school followed by lots of procrastination, she still finds the time to indulge in her love for art and creation. In the summer of 2019, Kate participated in an internship program (Agency of Assets) that is provided by an art gallery known as the ICA LA. One part of the internship was working three-weeks at an art gallery or industry, in which case, De La Torre was assigned to work at Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles. During her time there, she spent her days creating a catalog for past events that were hosted at the gallery and organizing an underground book archive for former and current contemporary artists. Soon after, her love for painting became a monetized hobby, and she has since sold paintings, customized shoes (and more), and sold art prints of her works. You could explore Kate’s art on her Instagram, @katluiart or @kattluii. You can also reach her on [email protected] or [email protected]
