Wolfpack Times

Kate De La Torre
Kate De La Torre is the Business Manager for Wolfpack Times. A junior attending Maywood  Center for Enriched Studies, Kate, an Honor Roll student, is still striving to discover her future career.  She is currently participating in an internship program, which is provided by an art gallery known as ICA LA. Throughout the summer of 2019, she worked a three week internship at Hauser & Wirth. Hauser & Wirth is also an art gallery based in the Los Angeles Arts District. During her time there, she spent her days creating a catalog for past events which were hosted by the staff at the gallery. Not only that, but she created an organized an archive for contemporary artists who had worked with Hauser & Wirth, like Charles Gaines, Mark Bradford, Luchita Hurtado, and Larry Bell. During her freshman year, an artwork De La Torre created participated in a competition. Although she did not win, she is proud to say it was displayed in the Autry Museum along with other student’s works. Now that she is further into her internship program, her and her fellows are working on an exhibition that will be displayed at the ICA around October of 2019. On her free time, Kate loves to paint, and spend time with her friends and family. She also runs a channel on YouTube by the name of Katlui, where she posts well-edited, fun videos. Sometimes even star her friends! You can reach her at [email protected] or [email protected]
